PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - "In a show of technological wizardry, the robotic explorer Curiosity blazed through the pink skies of Mars, steering itself to a gentle landing inside a giant crater for the most ambitious dig yet into the red planet's past.Cheers and applause echoed through the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory late Sunday after the most high-tech interplanetary rover ever built signaled it had survived a harrowing plunge through the thin Mars atmosphere."Touchdown confirmed," said engineer Allen Chen. "We're safe on Mars."Minutes after the landing signal reached Earth at 10:32 p.m. PDT, Curiosity beamed back the first black-and-white pictures from inside the crater showing its wheel and its shadow, cast by the afternoon sun."We landed in a nice flat spot. Beautiful, really beautiful," said engineer Adam Steltzner, who led the team that devised the tricky landing routine. It was NASA's seventh landing on Earth's neighbor; many other attempts by the U.S. and other countries to zip past, circle or set down on Mars have gone awry. The arrival was an engineering tour de force, debuting never-before-tried acrobatics packed into "seven minutes of terror" as Curiosity sliced through the Martian atmosphere at 13,000 mph.In a Hollywood-style finish, cables delicately lowered the rover to the ground at a snail-paced 2 mph. A video camera was set to capture the most dramatic moments - which would give Earthlings their first glimpse of a touchdown on another world.Celebrations by the mission team were so joyous over the next hour that JPL Director Charles Elachi had to plead for calm in order to hold a post-landing press conference. He compared the team to athletic teams that participate in the Olympics."This team came back with the gold," he said. The extraterrestrial feat injected a much-needed boost to NASA, which is debating whether it can afford another robotic Mars landing this decade. At a budget-busting 2.5 billion, Curiosity is the priciest gamble yet, which scientists hope will pay off with a bonanza of discoveries and pave the way for astronaut landings."

Unmasking The NASA Cover Up, Digitally Enhancing NASA Images To See The Truth!: RPeternell is one of the least known, but highly skilled UFO researches we have today, and yet his amazing studies and work he has done has gone mostly unnoticed by most of the world. He uses normal computer programs to digitally enhance and correct NASA photos that were deliberately given to us in low image quality or worse yet...blurred on purpose...which I personally have seen in almost every NASA Curiosity photo released to date. All I ask is that you take a minute to look at his discoveries and for that minute...think out of the box. SCWRPeternell States: Nasa / Esa space agencies have gotten away with photo manipulation for many years now. With public technology a bit more advanced, we now can fight the space agencies back using a reversal technique. ( fighting fire with fire ) Everything can be figured out in reverse, this is how we have always learned, After all, we saw the tree before its seed. All Photos have a negative, even digital photos. So we have attempted to scrape off the airbrushed layer of 57 different photos of Mars and have came up with over 2000 images. This is part one of four. Don't miss the last couple of minutes as there are some strange images. All the links to the raw original photos are posted below This is no Hoax. All of what you see is in FACT on these photos.Thank you for commenting and God speed. RPeternellATTN: At 20:50 of the video, check out the images and this myth of Mars : The two wild animals most sacred to Mars were the woodpecker and the wolf, which in the natural lore of the Romans were said always to inhabit the same foothills and woodlands. It is well known that People on Mars live underground. Mars is possibly near to hollow. So I believe that the artistic terraforming of Mars is from the inner dirt being relocated on top of the surface. If I had the technology that they do, I would want the surface to look nice instead of just throwing rock. Mars is so artistic that when you look at a terraformed structure, it has a different look within the 360* radius. We add landscape and bushes & ponds, They add terraformed art possibly from what they have seen in there travels. We have evidence of this from their intricate crop circles. The surface is their canvas. Scientists are one step closer to confirming the super-heavy Element 115.

A Swedish team of scientists recent conducted experiments on Element 115 at the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research in Germany. An element's atomic number, 115 in this case, represents the number of protons an element contains. For this study, LiveScience explains that the research team "shot a super-fast beam of calcium (which has 20 protons) at a thin film of americium, the element with 95 protons. When these atomic nuclei collided, some fused together to create short-lived atoms with 115 protons."
This new research was led by Dirk Rudolph, a professor at the division of atomic physics at Lund University. He explains that, although scientists from the Glenn T. Seaborg Institute and the Chemical Biology and Nuclear Science Division at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory announced the discovery of Element 115 in 2004, it has yet to be officially acknowledged because independent confirmation is required to measure the exact proton number. Rudolph and his team's recent experiments did that.

The next step, as the BBC explains, is for the potential new element to be "reviewed by a committee which consists of members of the international unions of pure and applied physics and chemistry. They will decide whether to recommend further experiments before the discovery of the new element is acknowledged."
Element 115 received attention in 1989 when Area 51 whistleblower Bob Lazar asserted that extraterrestrial spacecraft at Area 51s S4 facility were powered by the element. KLAS-TV investigative reporter George Knapp published a story following the discovery of Element 115 in 2004. In the article, Knapp spoke with Lazar about the 2004 discovery, something to which Knapp referred as "a profound development."
Bob Lazar
But he pointed out that "the material decayed almost instantly." Then Knapp reported, "Lazar says the first batch was only a starting point and that he will be proven right in the long run." Lazar explained, "I'd like to see them continue to work and produce different isotopes of 115 because they're gonna come up with a handful of different varieties and they're gonna come up with a stable isotope, and that's what we're interested." But based on the new experiments, that hasn't happened yet. The element still only lasts for less than a second.
Nuclear chemist Glenn T. Seaborg proposed the possibility of an "island of stability" in the late 1960s. Explaining this concept, Popular Science describes:
Nuclear physicists hypothesize that a magic number of protons and neutrons could produce enough binding energy to counteract the forces that tear apart the heavy nuclei, and render the new elements as stable as the common elements that exist outside of atom smashers. The physicists called these magic numbers the "island of stability" because the elements with the numbers cluster together on the periodic table, flanked on all sides by ephemeral elements that dissipate in nanoseconds.
Unfortunately, due to its rapid decay, Element 115, like its neighboring Element 114, doesn't seem to occupy the "island of stability."

LiveScience explains that Element 115 has yet to be officially named, "but it is temporarily called ununpentium, roughly based on the Latin and Greek words for the digits in its atomic number, 115."
The new research will be published in "The Physical Review Letters".

The first half of a massive interview with Keith Chester about his excellent book "Strange Company", detailing the often overlooked but critically important Foo Fighter era in Ufology. In this installment, we cover the surprising variety of actual Foo Fighter objects that were reported to be seen, how the Allied Forces investigated the Foo Fighters, notable figures from that era, ten key Foo Fighter cases discussed in detail, and the explosion of the Foo Fighter story on American shores. And that's just Part One. It's an intensely thorough edition of BoA : Audio, where you're almost guaranteed to walk away having heard something new. A must-hear interview for any serious student of Ufology's rich history. Full Preview : We start out with the standard bio / background as we find out who Keith Chester is, how he gravitated towards looking at the UFO phenomenon, and the fascinating story of the first interview he conducted. Keith speculates on why the Foo Fighter era of Ufology seems to have fallen through the cracks of UFO history. Diving into the Foo Fighter discussion, Keith details some of the various anomalous objects that were seen by fighter pilots during the war. Keith explains why there seems to be a lack of Foo Fighter pictures from the era, despite there being a fair amount of photographic technology on the planes. We talk about the difficulty of having no clear nomenclature for identifying anomalous phenomenon in the air and how the Allied air forces classified the various sightings. This leads into Keith talking about how the Royal Air Force and, subsequently the US Air Force, began investigating the Foo Fighters and how that investigation may have had roots prior to the start of WWII. This segues into a discussion on the role of Bob Robertson (of Robertson Panel infamy) overseeing the investigation of the Foo Fighters. From there, we find out about one of the most important figures in the Foo Fighter investigation era : Dr. David T. Griggs. We talk about his role in the war and in the FF investigation and the story of his final report on the Foo Fighters and how it has gone missing. We talk about the disconnect between the pilots who saw the aerial phenomenon, the base intelligence people who were in charge of collecting the reports, and the higher ups who wanted to receive the reports. What was the culture on the base like when the pilots returned after seeing a Foo Fighter, was there a standard operating procedure with regards to the FF phenomenon, and did the situation evolve over time. This leads into a discussion on how prevalent military coersion of silence was inflicted upon the witnesses, as seems to be the case in modern military UFO sightings. Next, we cherry pick some of the key cases of the WWII aerial phenomenon era, starting with the Sabinsky Case (1942), which Keith says is the "key early war sighting". Following that, we cover the Stuttgart / Schweinfurt series of sightings (1943), which saw a downed plane, glass balls falling from the sky, and the introduction of the term "flying disc" to the nomenclature of reporting. Keith explains why it is common believe amongst those in Ufology that the downed aircraft was ordinance related and not the result of the Foo Fighters. Moving ahead chronologically, we then discuss the Leet case of 1944, which saw the first report of heat coming from the mysterious aerial object. After that, we talk about Len Stringfield's Foo Fighter sighting from August of 1945, which occurred over Japan soon after the war had ended, and the strange effect the presence of the Foo Fighter had on the plane Stringfield was flying in. Wrapping up the key case discussion, Keith tells us about the 1942 USS Helm sighting case which was the first reported cigar shaped Foo Fighter sighting, a 1942 case over Turin, Italy, a 1943 case over Germany, two reports from early 1944 of Zeppelin-like objects, a '44 sighting of a massive, motionless object, the series of big sightings in early 1945 which gave the world the name "Foo Fighters", and, finally, a ground sighting of the Foo Fighters from March of 1945. Wrapping up this week's installment, we talk about Bob Wilson, of the Associated Press, who was largely responsible for breaking the Foo Fighter story in America. We find out how extensive the reporting, if any, on anomalous aerial phenomena in WWII had been and how long the media firestorm as a result of Bob Wilson's story lasted.
Keith Chester Bio Born in 1957 - a sputnik baby - Keith Chester's interest in UFOs began in 1966 with a daylight sighting while growing up in Frederick, Maryland. Art, film, and music have been the constant fuel from which he has drawn inspiration throughout his fifty years. Around 1989, his passionate interest of the UFO phenomenon culminated in the book "Strange Company : Military Encounters with UFOs in WWII". At present, he's researching for another book, making abstract films, and tapping into the world around him.

Perhaps the most famous and intriguing vanishing in the Bermuda Triangle is the case of Flight 19. On December 5th 1945, Flight 19 took off for a routine navigation exercise from Ft. Lauderdale. The mission consisted of 5 TBF avenger planes, all of which were lost with 14 airmen. The flight plan was supposed to lead them due east for 120 miles, north 73 miles and back over the 120 miles.
All 14 pilots and all 5 planes were never recovered. The Navy Investigators could not determine the cause of the disappearance and could only speculate they must have gotten lost and were forced to ditch the planes after running out of fuel or perhaps crashed due to a mechanical failure. The investigation board believed the subordinate officers of the flight didn't know their position. Charles Taylor, one of the missing pilots, was blamed for the incident. Taylor was said to be an excellent pilot but to often "fly by the seat of his pants" as he twice had to abandon his plane and be rescued in the Pacific. Later, the record was amended because of Taylors mother complaining her son was being unfairly blamed.
The record states, "cause unknown." The PBM Mariner ship sent out with 13 crewmembers to recover and rescue the crew also vanished. A tanker off the coast of Florida reported seeing a large explosion right around the time the Mariner would have been patrolling the area. The rescue crewmen may have been lost due to an explosion, but what happened to Flight 19?
Steven Spielberg attempted to answer the question in his sci-fi film Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The crew of Flight 19 suddenly appears in the Mojave Desert with a bright object nearby. The U.S. government hears of the alien abduction and tries to determine if the aliens plan to land and create an elaborate cover up to keep people from knowing. While the 1977 film had a widely successful reception it is still only a hypothetical explanation. I wish there was some way to know for sure.
The weather had become stormy during the flight but naval records did not show any magnetic difficulties. In 1968, the aviation archeologist John Myhre raised a plane he thought was from Flight 19 but a positive ID could not be made. In 1991, 5 avenger planes were raised off the Florida coast but their serial numbers did not match with those of Flight 19. The planes were later found to have crashed on 5 different days within a mile and a half of each other (2.4 km) From 1942-46 training accidents accounted for the loss of 94 aviation crewmembers from NAS Ft. Lauderdale. In 1992 another expedition found scattered debris but nothing could be identified. Those still searching for what happened have expanded their hunt farther East into the Atlantic. No physical evidence was left behind, only a cryptic message.
It is said the last words heard from the pilots were "we are entering white water, nothing seems right. We don't know where we are, water is green, not white." Officials at the Navy Board of Inquiry stated the planes "flew off to Mars."

UFO SIGHTING IN KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI ON JUNE 28TH 2013 - VERY VERY FAST, GLOWS REDDISH/ORANGE BUT DOES NOT BLINK, VERTICALLY ELONGATED, POSSIBLY A YELLOWISH BEAM COMING OUT OF THE TOP, LARGER OR LOWER THAN A HIGH FLYING AIRPLANEI went out my back door to smoke a cigarette on the porch, and as I was standing there I thought I heard someone yell "Let go of me" or something of that nature. I walked out further into my backyard in the direction of the noise and was looking and listening in the distance trying to see if there was someone being attacked or if it was possibly just some older neighborhood kids playing around. As I was visually scanning the area I noticed a glowing red object in the upper northwest corner of my field of vision which immediately caught my attention. It looked like it was too low or too big to be an airplane. Also it did not blink at all - the color and light were consistent the entire time I saw it. It appeared to be somewhat elongated vertically and at its closest point to me, I may have seen a yellow "flagpole-like" light or beam coming out of the top. However, the most outstanding characteristic was the speed of the thing. It passed from where I saw it initially to several miles southeast of my house in a matter of seconds - so fast, it was like something falling (but not quite as fast as a shooting star) except it was traveling horizontally. In fact my first theory was that it was a shooting star, or meteor or some kind of space debris, but as it came closer I lost all confidence in that assessment. As a point of reference, a high flying plane passing over the length of my house would not even make it from end to end in the time this thing cleared my entire visible range of the sky. At one point I considered running into the house to grab my binoculars which were maybe 10 feet inside the house, but I was pretty sure I would miss it if I went inside even for the short period of time it would have taken me to grab them. For the most part, I did not feel threatened in any way. Although as it approached its nearest point I do remember thinking " maybe I shouldn't be standing out here like a sitting duck" and considered that I should probably go back inside - but of course I didn't. I finally lost sight of it as it got smaller and smaller moving away from me, then just seemed to vanish. I actually felt like I should have been able to see it diminish in size for a bit longer than I did. I was just very suddenly gone. * I have to add a disclaimer here that the beam part may be due to my own vision issues (seeing starbursts or fuzziness around lights), outside of that though, I am 100% confident as to what I saw.*2013 SIGHTING REPORT(via MUFON.com)Learn about: an amazing NASA UFO Sighting Video and Blatant Cover-Up.Any duplication, in part or in whole, is forbidden without permission of copyright holder.
